ThinkByte is an AI assistant for iPhone that runs entirely on the phone. It works with no internet connection, and your conversations never leave the device.
Models
You download a model once and it runs locally. You can switch between them in the app.
- Lite is a 1.5 GB download and handles text, voice and images.
- Nova is a 3 GB download. It is larger and better at reasoning and writing.
Why on the device
A cloud assistant sends everything you type to a server. That rules it out for sensitive material, and it stops working on a plane or anywhere without signal. Running the model on the phone removes both problems. The trade-off is that a model small enough for a phone is less capable than the largest cloud models.
Price
